Abhinav Patel’s approach
We have a web app for our product which creates AI Photoshoots for Fashion brands. So, the same web app showed different UIs based upon the device used to access it.
After 2-3 months of bringing the product to a stable position; I proposed the idea of making Apps for Mobile view of our product. The same was countered by founder that the "paying user to signed up user" ratio for Mobile view is much lesser than Desktop/Laptop view. I felt something is missing in bridging the logical sense between two statements.
I dived deep into Mixpanel and had few observations;
- Avg. time for 1 photoshoot image creation = 3-4 minutes
- Avg. No. of photoshoot images proceeded by user in 1 generation = 2-3 images
- Avg. Time spent by an "active session" user on Monile view = 4-5 minutes (this includes the time user was making selections for photoshoots, doing workspace management etc.)
So, summing up users on Mobile view didn't even stayed for a good enough time on product to experience the value of the product. Without making them experience the value of product (the AHAA moment), how're we expecting them to make purchases?
Thereafter, I presented this hypothesis to my founder and then we prioritized the user experience on Mobile view of the product and picked up related threads at priority!!
